MCU AUFest Dear Author Letter
Dear Author,
Thank you in advance for writing for me. I'm sure that whatever you create will be amazing and I'm really looking forward to reading it. Below the cut are some of the things that I'd like. Pick one of them; pick all of them. I'll be overjoyed with anything.
On a general note, despite the MCU having a lot of opportunities for angst, I'm not all that keen on it. I can write it - oh boy, can I - but reading it leaves me cold. So, if at all possible, avoid it.
Important: non-con and child/spousal abuse (verbal, physical, and sexual) are things that I absolutely cannot read.
Now, onto the specifics.
Thor/Loki
I love AUs where Loki was raised on Jotunheim, and I'm a big, big fan of goodparent!Laufey. I also like my Jotnar to have a developed society equal to that of the Aesir. Please, for the love of all things holy, don't have Thor swooping in to 'educate' the 'barbarian'. Have him think he has to, by all means, but don't actually have him do it.
Different meetings is a given if Loki was raised on Jotunheim, but do they meet as children or as adults? Does Jotun!Loki become an Avenger? Does he break into Asgard to steal the Casket? Does Asgard even have the Casket? Do they meet during Thor 2's convergence?
For soulmates, I'd like it if there were consequences other than just having each other's name on their wrists (or wherever else you decide to put it). Socio-political consequences would be epic. I love political!fic.
If you decide for 'Loki didn't let go', I'd love to see the messy aftermath of what happened in Thor. If he's (for whatever reason - I'm sure it could happen in AU-Land) Jotun!Loki, then why would he be so desperate to attack his own people? Did he attack his own people, or somewhere else? (ALfheim? Vanaheim?) If he's been raised as in canon, then I'd love to see the mutation of his brotherly relationship with Thor into a romantic one.
Loki/Tony Stark
For Loki/Tony, I'd love to see a paranormal fic set in a mundane setting - either a coffee shop or a tattoo parlor in particular - where Tony (the customer) notices something weird about Loki (either the proprietor or another customer) and gets interested. Andstalks him investigates him for science and mostly because, whatever he is, he's gorgeous.
Up to you how Loki - whatever you make him (I'd love Fae, but he can be a Jotun or a runaway god or whatever else you fancy - even human (with mistaken!Tony)) - takes Tony's interest.
Thor/Bruce Banner
I'm less picky about these two. Honestly, I am. Take any of my given prompts and go absolutely nuts with it.
