Thank you! The prompt it was loosely based on asked for Legolas to have a happy childhood, but I just couldn't write it for some point. Thranduil does love him - he's also afraid of him and any similarities Legolas bears to his orc parent frighten him more.

Poor Legolas is a trigger and he barely knows it. Thranduil is going to be the star of the next one, however, so...

Legolas/Gimli had to be included. OTP and all that <3
