The pairing was requested along with a wide selection of my other favourite HP pairings, and I could choose to write whichever one of them I wanted. (So, so hard to decide.) Regulus is my favourite background character, though, and I find his motivations fascinating, so in the end it just had to be him. (I had a very Regulus-themed winter...) He was great fun to write and I wish there was more fic out there with him/this pairing in.
