True. Dumbledore more or less directly told us that it was romanticised. Still, considering that they developed the Hallows centuries ago, when magic was definitely less sophisticated shows that there was something special going on.

Though, that Ignotus is a Necromancer... it might explain Harry's interesting relationship with death. ;) At least his meeting of Dumbledore in Limbo could be explained that way.
