Summer 2025 Assignments Out!
Assignments have now been sent out!
We'll aim to post initial pinch hits in the next 24 hours. Happy drabbling!
- The deadline is Saturday, August 23 @ 11:59pm Eastern Daylight time (Countdown). If your assignment has not been submitted to AO3 by then, you will be defaulted.
- If your recipient did not request a fandom, character, and drabble type you offered, please contact the mods at seasonsofdrabbles@gmail.com ASAP.
- If you need to default, please do so via the button on AO3.
- For the requirements your drabble must meet, please see our guidelines. The collection is moderated and we will be doing a brief check of submitted works before admitting them into the collection. If we see an issue, we will contact you through email.
- If you write a drabble for a fandom in the tagset but it doesn't fit anyone's request, you may post it to the collection anyway, with no recipient.
We'll aim to post initial pinch hits in the next 24 hours. Happy drabbling!

Today's theme is rare pairs. For ships you don’t often see, whether they met once in canon or not at all. Give them a chance to shine!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full name and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here. Unfortunately, DW doesn’t have a cut tag, so use your best judgment when it comes to spoilers.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Harry Potter, Hermione Granger/Luna Lovegood, Hermione gets roped into one of Luna’s “strange adventures” and ends up enjoying herself more than expected.
+ Doctor Who, Martha Jones/Jack Harkness, Martha calls Jack for help when the TARDIS leaves her stranded in the 1960s.
+ Teen Wolf, Peter Hale/Kate Argent, They both want the same supernatural artifact, but neither is willing to back down.
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2024 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community. Fret not, DW members; we are working on a way to search through old entries for prompts for you! As of right now, the best way to search for a lonely prompt on DW is to search the community’s archive, which can be found [[HERE]].
While the use of LJ's advanced search and DW’s archive are options, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.
As a friendly reminder about our schedule, Lonely Prompts and sharing completed fills are encouraged on Sundays, while new themes and prompts are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturdays are a Free for All day. We'll share our posts on DW and LJ for everyone's convenience. Keep an eye out for notifications!
