Super glad you were able to find such a good, supportive friend! I dealt with selective mutism as a child, and it still affects me in some ways to this day. So, I totally empathize with that. I was only able to make friends in school when a very patient, extrovert basically adopted me lol. They also got me into cosplay and going to cons!
