This letter contains a list of Likes and DNWs as well as a couple of prompts. If none of the prompts catch your eye, then write whatever you like. As long as it doesn't hit any of my DNWs, we're good.

Fandoms
In regards to fest-specific subthemes, I like murder mysteries and police procedurals, as well as thefts, political intrigue and espionage. I'd like to see my chosen characters investigating, but I don't mind them being suspected of crimes. I'd prefer my chosen characters not to be kidnapped or murdered, but am absolutely happy for someone close to them to be kidnapped or murdered. I'm also a big horror fan, and I'd love to see my chosen characters investigating paranormal activity whether real or imagined. Ghost stories, haunted settings, monsters... I'd adore anything along those lines.
The Hobbit (Jackson Movies)
The re-settling of Erebor strikes me as a very turbulent time. There were people fighting for the gold even before the dragon was killed; throw in an oncoming winter and a large number of displaced people and a king who isn't the king that people were expecting... yeah. It's an environment ripe for crime, and that's what I'd love to see.
You can go for theft, but with the hoard in the state that it is, I can't imagine anyone noticing early on unless it's something spectacularly obvious (someone removing the Arkenstone from Thorin's tomb?). Murder, assault or kidnap is more likely - political tensions and cross-species suspicions would be excellent.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters
I don't mind whether you go the pairing route or the brotherly gen-fic route for this fandom. Either way, I would love to see the Kaiba brothers working together to investigate theft or corporate espionage or even an assassination attempt.
Whatever the relationship you write for them, I can see Mokuba going absolutely nuclear at any threat to Seto - just like how Seto does for him. Codependent Kaiba bros, please!

I love the investigative side of the first movie with Bill obsessing over Georgie’s death and recreating the sewer layout with hamster cage tubes, and all of Ben’s historical research, and I’d love to see more of that. Either them investigating Pennywise’s past influence on Derry, or stumbling across another case involving paranormal activity. Has dealing with Pennywise influenced their ability to be scared by anything else? Has it made them overconfident?
I’d also find it quite entertaining if Pennywise involves itself to prove its own innocence. How does it view other monsters? Is it offended that the Losers would mistake something else for it? I do see Pennywise as being quite possessive of the Losers, so I think that would be a fun angle to explore.
I don’t mind any configuration of pairings for this fandom, including characters paired with Pennywise. I also enjoy Georgie Lives! AUs, so maybe Georgie could get sucked into an investigation of his own?
Agatha Christie's Poirot
Again, I don't mind whether this is a romantic fic or gen-fic. I love the interactions between the characters too much.
I'd like to see something where Hastings is threatened by someone in an attempt to get to Poirot, or maybe something where they're being blackmailed with information about their relationship. I also really enjoy the episodes where their cases skirt along the supernatural, so something involving curses, ghosts or monsters would be brilliant.
