norsekink where the OP asked for something based on these pictures.
He hears the gasps from his guests first, and he knows that Loki has arrived at last. He’s slightly late, and the last few minutes have played havoc with Thor’s heart. If Loki had changed his mind, he didn’t know what he would have done – but that doesn’t matter now. He’s here, and Thor turns eagerly to set eyes on his bride for the first time.
His breath catches. He feels his eyes widen as he tries to comprehend what he is seeing. Loki is stunning. The long curls of his black hair are loose and unbound, tumbling wildly down to his waist, and strings of diamonds glitter like stars amongst them. His skyrta is red – Thor’s colour – and delicately embroidered with golden thread, and his bare feet are silent as he walks slowly across the grass towards him. The markings on his skin, usually a darker blue than the rest of him, have been painted gold with painstaking precision, making them stand out even more.
A lump rises in Thor’s throat and he struggles to swallow around it.
Loki is smiling at him softly, and Thor knows he must look a fool standing here, gaping with disbelief, but he cannot help himself. He cannot believe that Loki – beautiful, brilliant, perfect Loki – has agreed to spend the rest of his life with him. The short months of their betrothal had been nothing short of bliss. But now…now Loki is here, in front of him, looking so ethereal and so happy that Thor thinks his own heart will burst with joy.
Loki reaches him, and long blue fingers reach up to brush against Thor’s cheek. They come away wet with tears Thor hadn’t even realised he’d shed. This close, he can see that Loki too is crying – his tears have frozen on his long eyelashes and they glitter as much as the diamonds.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispers, and he takes Loki’s hand in his own, clasping it tightly. Loki squeezes back gently.
“As are you.”
