I wondered how much damaged he was before Azkaban, it's an incredible interesting question. Especially considering how the other Black kids of his generation turned out - I don't think it's possible to find a more varied bunch of kids. Just what kind of environment can produce Narcissa, Bellatrix and Andromeda?
