They were curled together on the sofa in front of the fireplace; Parvati was leaning into Lavender’s side and they were reading her Divination textbook together. Lavender’s hair smelled of almonds and the curve of her breast that Parvati was pillowed against rose and fell evenly with her breathing. Her fingers skated lightly over Parvati’s hip; her gold-painted nails scraping lightly at the skin where Parvati’s Muggle jeans had slipped down and her shirt had ridden up.
Parvati wanted to catch that hand and lace their fingers together; to kiss each painted fingertip. Lavender was her home. She loved her.
