Thank you so much for signing up and for creating fic for this fest. I'm really looking forward to reading what you come up with, and I'm sure that I'll absolutely love it.
On a general note, my DNWs are non-con, physical or psychological abuse, and extreme angst (of the suicidal kind). I really, really can't read them so I'd appreciate it if you avoided them as much as possible. I'd also much prefer to receive canon-divergence or canon-AUs rather than anything involving the present day, coffee shops or high school. Apart from that, I'm very much an anything goes kind of person.
Preferences for this fest are for established relationships. I'd prefer secret relationships as well, though if you want to include people finding out about those relationships then I'm all for it, especially if it's a pathway to h/c (which I love) rather than heaps of angst. I also understand that my having abuse as a DNW is pretty antipathetic given that this is a fest about incest and I have a few father/son pairings listed. These scenarios are dub-con by nature and I totally get that, and please feel free to explore those power dynamics as long as you make sure that both parties are, ultimately, consenting.
I've listed a couple of more specific prompts below. Feel free to ignore them if none of them strike your fancy. Like I said at the start, I'm fairly open to receiving anything so if you've always wanted to write a certain fic for any of these pairs and it doesn't contain any of my DNWs, then please feel free to use this as an excuse to do it.
The Hobbit
Legolas/Thranduil
I should point out that I'm not the biggest fan of movie!Thranduil. I love the scars and the blind!Thranduil trope that they've created. I love the dignified flamboyance. I absolutely detest most of the rest of his characterisation - especially his apparent disdain for Silvan Elvesbecause WTF was that bullshit about. So yeah, fair warning: book!Thranduil is preferred, although if you want to weave in aspects of movie!Thranduil then that's fine. Also: I am very much invested in the canon of sex=marriage for Elves. Take that and its consequences and run with them if you will.
I'd love to see something based on the differences in their relationship in public and private spaces and how their dynamic shifts and changes between the two. Something where they're both aware that what they're doing is wrong would be good, or at least where they both acknowledge the Elven (and presumably mortal) taboo on incest, but continue anyway. Something about the differences in their personalities would be great too.
Or maybe you could have the Fellowship chatting about the ones they've left at home and Legolas can't resist telling them about his wonderful older lover, blah blah blah...and someone figures it out.
The Lord of the Rings
For the pairings set in the Shire, I have a pretty odd headcanon that cousin-cest isn't as taboo as it might be amongst other races (*cough*Elves*cough*), so if you want to work that into your fic then that would be cool.
Frodo/Merry - These two are the ones I can see being fairly open about their relationship, which in turn might bring about other issues. Is there a strain of homophobia in Hobbit society? Do their families pressure them to keep things quiet so that they can get married and have families without scandal? (Specifically Merry's because I can't picture Bilbo giving much of a crap what they get up to if neither of them are hurt.) Maybe you could write something pre-Fellowship with Merry developing a crush while Frodo is living at Brandy Hall. Or maybe you want to write some h/c set during the quest or afterwards in the Houses of Healing where they reaffirm the ties holding them together after the stresses and horrors of their adventure.
Frodo/Bilbo - despite what I said at the top, I can't picture these two being that open about a relationship, and I don't have that many ideas for them. I'd love to see how they negotiate the transition from guardian/ward to lovers, though.
Elladan/Elrohir - as with Legolas and Thranduil, I'd love to see these two both acknowledging the Elven taboo on incest regardless of what else they get up to. I'd quite like hunting!fic for them - how they maintain their relationship while living the wilds and what sort of (lack of) privacy that offers them compared to Imladris. Please no oblivious!Elrond, either. Maybe have him knowing but not saying anything because he doesn't want to either deny his sons their happiness or confirm his approval. Also: I am very much invested in the canon of sex=marriage for Elves. Take that and its consequences and run with them if you will.
(This is totally optional, but I ship it so whatever, but a reference to Maglor/Elrond and a history of incest running through their immediate (adopted) family would probably make my life)
Boromir/Faramir - for these two, I'd adore something pre-quest where they're both alive and well and nothing (except Denethor) hurts them. Something with them starting to sneak around as teenagers, perhaps? Or something where a night of celebration/treating one another's injuries after a successful campaign almost gets them caught.
Or! An outsider!POV fic post-quest where, after a conversation with the Fellowship chatting about the ones they've left at home and Boromir talking about his sweet, wise and slightly bookish partner, one of them (Pippin, perhaps?) puts it together. Up to you if you want to go with dead!Boromir for that or a fix-it. That said, a Boromir/Faramir fix-it fic in general would make me cry ugly tears of joy. Just so you know.
Harry Potter
I'm absolutely fascinated with the various iterations of pureblood culture that fandom has churned out, so feel absolutely free to include as much of that as humanly possible. I'm a big fan of reading about the varying political situations within the HP universe, so if that's also your thing, then go for it. Also: incest between cousins is pretty canonical here, and none of the people I've listed are sticklers for the rules, so having them display some sort of arrogance about blood purity and 'keeping it in the family' would be cool. (Sirius, naturally, being the exception to this, but maybe he's taking advantage of the others' attitudes.)
I'm incredibly easy for this fandom, which unfortunately means that I'll read anything. Anything at all.
Rabastan Lestrange/Rodolphus Lestrange - I don't really have anything for these two, I'm afraid, so go nuts.
Orion Black/Sirius Black - I headcanon Orion's marriage to Walburga as being arranged to avoid some sort of scandal. I definitely picture it as being an unhappy one, so seriously, go wild with that. For Orion/Sirius, though, I'd love to see a Sirius who has grown up with some idea of his father's sexuality. Maybe he has a history of discreet affairs with Sirius' chilhood tutors? IDK, but anyway: an aware and slightly manipulative Sirius who uses seduction to get what he wants from his father. And, of course, an Orion who is perfectly aware of what Sirius is doing but who goes along with it anyway.
Sirius/Regulus - I'd love to see a happy ending for Regulus in any way, shape, or form, and if that involves a secret-and-yet-desperately-loving relationship with his older brother then bring it on. Maybe Regulus gets Sirius to accompany him to the cave & therefore survives; Sirius nurses him back to help after the potion and helps him with Horcruxes. Maybe they get together as teenagers and Regulus never becomes a Death Eater in the first place - runs away with Sirius to the Potters' and they end up frighteningly co-dependant but ultimately on the side of Light.
MCU
Thor/Loki
Got to admit, I'm a bigger fan of Loki in Thor than any of his subsequent appearances. I like my Loki to be not completely off the deep-end. So anything set pre-MCU would be awesome, as would something that diverges from canon around the events of Thor. I'm also a pretty big fan of intersex!Loki if you want to go there.
I'd quite like to see something with young!Thor and Loki starting an affair and trying to keep it secret. Do they write each other letters? Do they go on 'quests' together only to spend a few days living anonymously in another realm, screwing each other senseless? How do they cope with secrecy when they're both possessive? Do they get found out? What are the consequences for Asgard of that affair going public? If you want to include other characters from the MCU and use their potential reactions then that would be great.
