Dear Mystery Author,
Thank you so much for signing up and for creating fic for this fest. I'm really looking forward to reading what you come up with, and I'm sure that I'll absolutely love it.
On a general note, my squicks are non-con, abuse of any kind, and extreme angst (of the suicidal kind). I really, really can't read them so I'd appreciate it if you avoided them as much as possible. Apart from that, I'm very much an anything goes kind of person. I don't have any major kinks, but domestic fluff and character introspectives are my favourites.
I like most AUs. I'm not overly fond of gangster or band AUs, and I won't touch high school ones, but if you feel like you need to write an AU for one of these fandoms then go nuts. (Obviously, if the canon setting is in a school and you want to write that, then go for it!)
Please remember that all of the prompts that I've listed below are just suggestions. If you're inspired to write something that isn't listed, and that doesn't hit any of my squicks, then please feel free to do so.
Teen Wolf (TV)
I'm very, very new to this fandom, so please be gentle on the spoiler front.
Chris Argent/Sheriff Stilinski - my tiny, tiny rare OTP for this show. I love case fics with these two working together and the dynamics between them. I'd prefer, if possible, that the Sheriff know about werewolves/the supernatural or find out about it instead of keeping him in the dark.
Of course, if you feel like writing a werewolf!Stilinski AU, then I will be all over that.
The Hobbit
In general, I much prefer book!Thranduil to movie!Thranduil, but feel free to do some sort of mash-up between the two interpretations. Please leave out movie!Thranduil's obnoxious anti-Silvan Elf racism, though, because that part was a load of shite that I can't overlook.
Lindir/Thranduil - I'd love to see some kind of relationship built up through letters or negotiations between Imladris and Mirkwood, and the effort put into keeping politics out of their relationship. Or maybe something where Lindir doesn't sail with Elrond and instead goes to live with the Elvenking.
Thranduil/Legolas - I'd love to see something based on the differences in their relationship in public and private spaces and how their dynamic shifts and changes between the two. Something where they're both aware that what they're doing is wrong would be good, or at least where they both acknowledge the Elven (and presumably mortal) taboo on incest, but continue anyway.
Of course, if you want to make Legolas adopted for whatever reason, then that too would be a fascinating read.
Elrond/Lindir - I'd like to see something where the master/servant dynamic is largely for public places only, or a slowly-built courtship fic where - having been released from his vows to Celebrian before she sailed - Elrond decides to move on. Taking the reactions of his peers into account, and his children's, would be amazing - and Lindir being disbelieving at first would also be perfect.
Bolg/Legolas - I'd love to see something playing on the forbidden nature of this relationship (I have a thing about those). Them both trying to resist but being unable to stay away from each other. Something that plays off the fact that Orcs were once Elves would be brilliant too, as would anything involving a kind of Orc culture that doesn't leave them as either irredeemable or noble savages would also be amazing.
Bofur/Kili - post-BotFA fix-it? With all of the hurt/comfort recovery? Or just anything with Bofur using his glorious sense of humour to distract Kili/keep him motivated to keep going, and Kili responding in kind.
Naruto
I suppose that now would be a good time to mention that I love time-travel and fix-it AUs? And that I stopped reading after Naruto converted Pein through the power of literature? Yes? Yes.
Hatake Sakumo/Orochimaru -Okay, so this request is entirely the fault of blackkat and her uncanny ability to write everything I ever wanted from the Naruto fandom, including the things I didn't know that I actually wanted - this pairing being one of them. A fic where Orochimaru and Sakumo work together on a mission would be great, whether that has Orochimaru remaining loyal or in some kind of AU-verse where Sakumo lives and either goes missing-nin with him, or where Oto and Konoha are forced to work together. Or, of course, something charting the trials and tribulations of raising kiddie!Kakashi together - Sakumo's reaction when his son decides he wants to summon snakes, maybe?
Hatake Kakashi/Uchiha Obito - Time-travel fix-it would be fantastic here. Or an AU where Rin was trapped in the rock-fall instead of Obito (no Rin-bashing, please, I'd just love to see how Kakashi and Obito might have been motivated to help each other without her).
Hoshigaki Kisame/Uchiha Itachi - Oh my heart, this pairing. Is it bad that all I want is for Itachi to be happy? Whether it's through Kisame figuring out his deception and deciding to help him instead of Madara, or whether it's a non-massacre AU where loyal!Itachi meets Kisame on a mission, just give it a happy ending - please.
Hatake Kakashi/Uzumaki Naruto - Time travel fix-it again? Or something where Kakashi isn't Naruto's sensei and ends up meeting him (officially) much later on?
Harry Potter
I'm absolutely fascinated with the various iterations of pureblood culture that fandom has churned out, so feel absolutely free to include as much of that as humanly possible. I'm a big fan of reading about the varying political situations within the HP universe, so if that's also your thing, then go for it.
Harry Potter/Blaise Zabini - I'd love to see a HBP AU with Harry trying to get close to Blaise in order to better keep an eye on Malfoy, and Blaise being totally onto him but taking advantage of it anyway.
Theodore Nott/Harry Potter - Post-war redemption fic, maybe? With Theo being absolutely delighted that his father is in Azkaban, never to be released, and everyone (including Harry) being incredibly sceptical of this weird, usually quiet Slytherin being suddenly really enthusiastic about Muggle Studies.
Theodore Nott/Blaise Zabini - something with them trying to survive in a post-Voldemort society that doesn't want them would be perfect. How far can they get with the stigma of their school House weighing them down? Do they emigrate? Do they want to? Do they sign up for night classes in a Muggle college and leave magical society, or do they try and stick it out?
Sirius Black/Rodolphus Lestrange - I'd really like to see something set in their school days or the first war where they sneak around with each other. Maybe his affair with Rodolphus is why Remus thinks Sirius is the traitor? Or something set in Azkaban, with the two of them in adjacent cells, bonding with each other through the bars - does Sirius leave Rodolphus behind when he escapes? Or does he teach Rodolphus the animagus transformation and take him with him?
Barty Crouch Jr/Regulus Black - Not going to lie, this is my OTP. Something I've never seen before, though, is an AU where Regulus confides in Barty about his doubts. I would love to see that. And I'd absolutely love to have Barty help him, leading to a Regulus lives!AU.
Rabastan Lestrange/Neville Longbottom - This is a completely random pairing, I know, but I'd love to see a serious attempt to play it straight. Maybe in a time-travel fix-it where Neville goes back to save his parents and ends up attracting Rabastan's attention? Or maybe a second-war redemption fic where Rabastan, after spending so long in Azkaban, is totally fixated on the idea of somehow making it up to Neville (though whether or not Neville lets him is another thing entirely).
And tadah! That's the letter. Like I said before, these prompts are just suggestions and you don't have to follow them if you don't want to. I know that I'll love whatever you create.
