Dear Yuletide Writer,
I'm Evandar *points upwards* and my user name is the same pretty much all over the place, and this is my first Yuletide and I really hope I'm doing this right.
In general, I like fics with strong characters. Smart-arse one-liners and an ability to kick butt are a true love of mine, as long as it remains true to character. I like snark in my interpersonal relationships, so even if you're writing fluff for me, try and put a little bite into it. I'm primarily a slash fan, but I also love gen and (if you think you can pull it off) genderswitch.
That said, I also love dark characters, domestic family situations, and politics. World-building is - while not expected - something I would fangirl forever for. I will ask that you don't write non-con, dub-con or extreme kink because they do squick me out; AUs are fine and marvellous, but I do prefer canon-divergence or at least canon settings.
If my prompts and suggestions don't strike a chord with you then please write a fic that you would like to see instead. These fandoms are tiny, and they deserve the love.
Fandoms:
Havemercy
My requested Havemercy characters are (long-lost) brothers so if you don't want to go the incest-y slash route, that's absolutely fine. If you do want to go the incest-y slash route, that's also absolutely fine. Incest is not a squick of minebut if it is for you, then seriously don't think you have to write it. Rook/Thom as a couple or as brotherly bonding or both would make my day. Just bear in mind that I haven't (as of writing this letter) read the third or fourth books.
From Eroica with Love
I would love a believable get-together fic for these two. I mean, the chemistry between them and Dorian's never-give-up attitude and the way Klaus slowly starts to tolerate him are what really endeared me to the manga in the first place, and while it's very slow moving I want to see them actually get there.
Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro
I don't have any preferred pairings for this fandom. If you want to put one in there, that's absolutely okay. What I would really love is an episode-style mystery gen!fic that builds up on Neuro being a creepy fucker. I mean, look at him.
Nightrunner
This is basically a ship-fic request. When I first read Nightrunner I almost died from the squee when Alec and Seregil got together. So. Yeah, I'd love them to be together in this. If you want the relationship to take a backseat to whatever scam or heist they're running, then that too would be absolutely brilliant.
Alien vs Predator
This is a very new fandom to me, and I requested it because I loved the interaction between Alexa and Scar in the movie and thought that it gave the film an interesting dynamic. I would love something from Scar's POV about the human woman winning his respect, or maybe an AU where she leaves earth with the yautja or Scar survives and comes back for whatever reason. If you want to pair then, then that would be awesome, but anything with interaction between the two of them would be wonderful.
