femslash100's Challenge 402. I've been kind of into these two recently.
Lavender had always been popular. She was bright and bubbly and sometimes cloyingly sweet. She giggled and gossiped and knew all the best tips on how to wear your hair or what robes and colours suited what bodies and skin types. Lavender was popular because she was beautiful, and because she was kind enough – sweet enough – to make others beautiful too.
Others like Parvati, who prided herself on being the ‘prettier’ twin in an identical set; who rode Lavender’s robe hems to the top of the pecking order. Who brought her make-up bag to the hospital wing and helped Lavender pick out the exact shades of eyeshadow to accentuate werewolf-gold eyes.
Lavender was too frightening now to be popular; beautiful still, but feral with her yellow eyes and sharp teeth. She was still as sweet, but under the cherry of her favourite lip balm, her kisses now tasted of blood.
