Her lips press to Lily’s throat and her teeth grate softly over tender flesh so it won’t bruise from her touch. Her caresses are desperate and needy and oh so careful. Neither of them can afford to be caught.

Lily thinks of Narcissa sometimes, in the dark of the night while her husband snores in her ear and her baby kicks inside of her; when the expectations of the Order weigh on her heart until she can’t breathe. No one knows she slips away to meet a Death Eater’s wife, but she does. She needs it. Narcissa needs it too.
