Darcy always tastes of coffee. She drinks too much of it – strong and black – and it keeps her up at night and makes her hands tremble when she curls up at Natasha’s side to watch movies at 3am. Her favourite mug is Avengers themed – Natasha bought her the Black Widow one on a whim, and it replaced her Big Bang one in a heartbeat – and she cradles it in her hands as if it’s the most precious thing in the world.

Natasha’s precious thing is Darcy. The company she brings when Natasha can’t sleep for red nightmares; the bitter taste of her lips and tongue, and the feel of her warm hands as they slide over Natasha’s body and slip between her legs. So she fuels Darcy’s habit shamelessly, buying her gourmet grinds from far-flung places and novelty mugs, because she can’t give up their midnight embraces. She’s addicted too.
