Her breath catches when she watches the news. She sits on the edge of her seat with her hands clenched on her knees as tanks rumble across the screen; as air-strikes and crumbling buildings and so many weeping, dead and wounded are paraded for the world to see. It’s not fear that makes her lungs constrict and her heart pound, but memory. A memory of red hair and red lips and so much red; of facing a flaming sword with a stick.

Destruction is the portrait of the most dangerous (beautiful) woman in the world, and Pepper still wants her.
