“Teach me?” Lavender asks, leaning on the back of Parvati’s chair.

Parvati pauses. Her fingers are tangled in her hair, midway through creating her favourite braided style. She can see Lavender’s gaze fixed on her in the mirror, see the heat in them, and warmth curls through her belly.

“Okay,” she says. She slips her fingers free, letting her hair come loose before she brushes it out again. “Okay,” she says again. “Come here.”

She barely manages to keep her voice steady as Lavender’s fingers sink into her hair, curling her fingers against her scalp. Lavender’s smile is worth it.

Parvati's hair is ridiculously gorgeous, and playing with someone else's hair is a really intimate thing to do IMHO. I think I'm jealous of Lavender too - at the very least, I know exactly why she's smiling!
