Author's Notes: Written for the prompt Harry Potter - Bellatrix/Narcissa - secret on femslash100's Drabble Tag. Also, writing about Bellatrix has become significantly weirder since I named one of my cats after her.



“It must be kept secret,” Bella hisses.

Narcissa traces her fingers gently over the red flesh surrounding the Dark Mark before lowering her head and pressing a kiss to hot skin. The Mark is fresh and swollen – a display of recklessness and fanaticism. Bella hisses again, and her fingers coil in Narcissa’s hair – tugging, but not enough to pull her away. Narcissa’s kisses trail a path up Bella’s arm to her neck, where she turns her head to hide her face in the tangle of Bella’s hair.

“You know I keep secrets,” she whispers, and feels Bella shiver against her.

And I know what you mean about the thing with fandom characters and cat's names. I've been sneaky with mine - they have names that sound unrelated to fandom, but they're actually shortened versions of Disney character names. So we have a skinny secretly-evil cat called Millie, who's really named after Maleficent! XD

Maleficent is a brilliant name for a cat! I have Bella and Cassie - short for Bellatrix and Cassiopeia - named after members of the Black family. And stars/constellations, which is what I told the vet when she asked XD

Yep, they definitely are. This is pretty much the first thing that sprung to mind when I read the prompt, but I'm pleased with how it worked out.
